I just moved into a new apartment near the woods. I have seen several centipedes and spiders in this sort period of time. What are some ways I can get rid of them? I've heard placing mint oil in the room works but have not tried it. Any ideas?

If you're not against using chemicals, get a product that you can use indoors and follow directions. I got some product from Ehrlich that they use and is practically odor free. If your apartment is on ground level and you have exterior walls, you can get a more potent product at a home center. Spray a barrier on the ground and on the foundation, and spray into the area where the siding joins the wall. I don't know of any
'natural' deterrents. If you do spray indoor, hit every little nook and cranny that you can find, emptying cabinets etc. if you have to. I hope this helps.
