I have one friend that has one and says she does not have any problems with it. Another friend says the mattress is really hot all the time. So what is the real answer??

I think it depends on the person. Some people give off more heat than others.
We have one and we love it. I sleep most of the year with just a sheet. My wife sleeps most of the year with a quilt.

I have one and it is fine as long as you have a good mattress pad under the sheets. I use a quilted one that is fitted on the corners. It is the most comfortable bed i have ever owned.

I've had mine for 2 years, you'd have to shoot me to take it from me.
My wife and I sleep just fine. I use a top sheet only and my wife uses a heavy blanket and a light quilt.
