I believe Retrosheet goes back farther, all the way to the 1870s

BA has a few that date older than 1957, but it's really scattershot and only for games historic enough to merit inclusion. (One of the things about BA that drives me nuts is how there is no "Box Scores" section. The whole website is organized erratically.)

BR uses the Retrosheet database, which is nearly complete (well over 99.8%) back to 1957, and has a few seasons earlier than that. The work continues.

Online, that's about it. Contact the Hall's library if you have a specific game needed, they have a physical database.

Baseball Almanac may help.

ALthough Retro Sheet looks pretty good. Oh the websites you can find on the internet!

go to www.baseball-almanac.com
then go to team by team under history, pick your team, then pick your year under the Box Scores, Schedules, Scores & Splits section, and then pick the game you want.
