I know we lost Cato June which was a blow but Nick Harper and Jason David...I am not so worried about. Marlin Jackson is awesome. Kelvin Hayden is coming up and KEY: BOB SANDERS! He is one of the most talented safties out there (my opinion) and am surprised he doesn't get more credit. His skill and the energy he brings to the team/crowd is great. Also, can't overlook Freeny :)
Also, NOTE that of that 10 pts N.O. scored 7 of it was a recovered fumble by the Saints D so their O actually only scored 3 against our D. The saints had more 1st downs than I woulda liked but we got the job done.
Coming bottom of the league in reg season D (w/o Sanders most of the season) last year, how can we not improve :) Movin on up!
I rate us at an 8 currently...give us a few wks and we'll be a 10
Go Horse!

Based strictly on their performance last night, I think they were a solid 9 (10's do not exist because perfection does not exist outside of our imagination). There is definitely room for improvement and I would like to see them play consistently at this level. Let's answer the question again after week 6 or 7 (before they play New England because lately they've consistently stepped it up several notches) and see if they are still playing up to this level. Either way, it was an exciting game last night and a lot of that excitement was generated from a defense that had good chemistry and played together like the TEAM they are.

Their D was ok. It looked like the Saints offense played poorly on their own, not because of what the Colts did. At any rate, they should have a good year again. I say a 6

So far a 9...But realistically they are 7-8.
I was super impressed with Marlin Jackson. The dude was all over the place and made solid tackles and forced a fumble.

So far, a 10 (or at least a 9.9). They held the 2006 #1 offense to 3 points. That's pretty much perfection.

6/10 They lost Cato June and their 2 best cornerbacks. Its only a matter of time before Bob Sanders gets injured...again.

Last night was a 7.
Next week they get Vince Young and it should be better.
I want to see a shutout in Jacksonville in October.
