I moved into my apartment and was bummed i didnt have internet. i opened my macbook and voila! i have free wireless =D .but sometimes it wont work anymore (linksys). it will work for a few days or few hours than will quit for a few days or few hours. how can i keep it connected?

You are obviously using somebody else's signal, but as long as you aren't using it for malicious or illegal purposes, you're not harming anybody. You probably should get your own ISP, and the reason you can't always get the signal, is probably because your neighbor has turned off their system.

Yes you are if you wanna keep the internet i suggest you get your own or get a wireless card that gets those signals much better.
but i think the guys know and hes trying to stop u

If you are not going to pay for your own, and your neighbor is a decent person, the least you could do is to offer to help pay 50 percent and save money together..
You could tell them it was accidental

I'm in the same boat, but I'm not complaining about free internet. Buy a wireless booster.

Yes you are a thief. You're picking up the signal from one of your neighbors. Some day they will turn on their firewall, and you're screwed.

of course, and you cannot keep it connected unless the person you are getting it from keeps it conneceted.
talk to the person and probably you guys will come up with some kind of agreement.

yes, you can keep it connected by going to your neighbor and telling them that you are stealing their internet and complaining that its a crappy connection and they should fix it. although you might get it disconnected instead

yeah you are stealing internet..obviously someone near you is using wireless and your laptop has just connected to there network randomly so you are using there internet. i dunno if you can keep it connected.. if the person moves there wireless attenna around or they use applianced that affect wireless then you get disconnected
