Yes. This is usually in in-between dream conscious land. In this land your body is paralyzed while the dreaming switch is turned on. You might still be all the way in your dream and just feeling your physical body, or you might even feel like you cna barely open your eyes but can't wake up all the way.

Yes, last night.

I dreamed I was being stalked by a serial killer. I woke up when he was killing me. I couldn't scream in the dream.

That was one of the worst dreams that I have ever had. Perhaps I should cut back on the CSI's, Criminal Minds, Law and Order, etc.

Yes. sometimes. once I had a dream where I was about 5 feet in front of someone who was screaming out of a window in the twin towers when they were coming down
=*(...and then i couldnt do anything. i was just watching!! and i think i was trying to scream then the other person in my dream (a woman i think) kept getting louder and louder and i couldn't stand it, and it made me wake up and i was sweating and it was realllly scary.

Yes ! It's when I have a nightmare !
The last time I sat up in bed and tried to scream, but nothing was coming out. It terrified me even more ! The worst part was my hubby was right beside me in bed and I was frozen, I couldn't even touch him to let him know I was scared !
That's really scary stuff ! I hate that feeling !

Hugs,

I've done that many times when I've had sleep paralysis. I think I'm screaming, but then when I ask my boyfriend the next morning if I woke him with my scream he says he didn't hear a thing. Its scary.

All the time. I hate those dreams. I also am trying to run away from danger and can barely move my feet.

I dreamed my wife was trying to kill me. I couldn't scream because when I woke up she had her pillow over my face.
