The usual rule of thumb is: wide bottom (jeans), narrow top and vice versa. The knit halter that they show on the jeans page would look nice. A fitted short-sleeve knit top would look nice. If you want to glam it up a bit, choose a top with some metallic thread, or perhaps a satin top. Happy birthday!

Wear a shirt that fits around the waist so you look slimmer because those are wide leg trousers.

maybe just a plain white T-Shirt with some red or yellow bracelets and some swanky matching shoes to go with the accessories..by the way those jeans are CUUUTEEE!

If your going to wear "flared" on the bottom half then you should wear "slimmer/tighter" on the top. vise versa If you wear both flared/bigger/lose on both proportions then you would look too "heavy". Good luck and Happy Birthday!

I think just a crisp, plain white short sleeve shirt would look good. and then for some color throw in some bright accesories

try a white sweater like top with a brown belt over it around your waist and some brown boots with big heels and some hoop earings

Where are you going and with who?
If you are going out with your kids, something light and summery would be nice.
If you are going out with the girls, wear something "glittery" -- the halter was cute, but something in black with glittery accents would be cute.
If you are going out with your Marine -- it doesn't matter, you won't be wearing it long anyway. = )

way cool jeans! good choice! if it were me ... i would wear a white scoop neck tee with a black blazer, black belt and black boots. i would top it off with some dangly earrings. just my opinion. have fun ... i'm sure you will look great!
