Nail polish remover maybe the only way to counter the effects.

Rubbing alcohol will remove sticker glue

Pour a small amount of Pinesol cleaner right on the glue. It will start to dissolve the glue when you rub it between your fingers. It may need to set on glue that has been there for a while. Also remove glue from hair. You might want to test it in a spot that wouldn't be noticeable first.

Try using cooking oil. Put it on a washcloth and rub the oil on the area.

Spray some Adhesive Remover or equivalent oil based solvent where needed. Wait a few minutes. Using a fine tooth comb; gently comb and wipe away residue.

Wow. It won't dissolve with anything, and it'll maintain its flexibility even if frozen with ice.

My sense is that you might have some luck applying a small amount of baby oil or other mineral oil to the afflicted area and see how much of it you can dig out. Work it into the glued hair and work on it.

You also might be able to cut up the glue itself without cutting your hair. You'll need assistance for this.

When I got anti-rust paint in my hair my wife removed it with eye-makeup remover, but I don't think that'll work in your case. It might be worth an initial try, however.
