I just got a hamster and its name is Rufus. He wont stop biting me and I really want to learn how to control him. I need some advise on how to train a hamster fast! I got a wired cage for him. Can anyone help me?

Hamsters have an amazing sense of smell so make sure that you wash your hands before handling it to wash of any food/floral odors. If he smells anything yummy he will bite.

Other than that make sure you are allowing him to walk on your lap and let him choose to walk on your hand and arm.

Good luck!

When my hamster was biting me, I'd squeal loudly and jump the -second- his teeth touched me. It scared him, and after a few times he stopped.
