Oh my goodness -- I had no idea that Ms. L'Engle passed away! This is so sad.... she was one of my favorite authors. I've read several of her works -- the Time Trilogy (WRINKLE IN TIME, WIND IN THE DOOR, SWIFTLY TILTING PLANET) as well as MANY WATERS and RING OF ENDLESS LIGHT. Her children's novels are gems that have profound meaning for adults as well -- in fact, I read them as an adult and will never forget them. She stands in the company of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien as one of the great Christian fantasy writers of the 20th century.

Yes, may she rest in peace and be led by angels into the presence of Our Compassionate Lord, Who I know will receive her with open arms and the loving words, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."

A great woman, a beautiful person, and a talent for all the ages to come.

I thought "A Wrinkle in Time" was brilliant, but I haven't read much else she wrote. I must tell you, however, that this is technically in violation of the Community Guidelines in that it is not in the form of a question. How about "Would you join me in a tribute," instead?

Since the last update, we're going to have to get more careful about sticking to the rules.

*moment of silence*

It is so sad to lose such a talented author. At least she lived a long, (hopefully) good life. Her books have had a big impact on me.
