i mailed someone a check from long beach,CA, to cincinnati,OH are they abled to cash it?

Sure you can....... Bank of America is nationwide, and their bank would cash it anyways....

You can only get cash back for the check if you have enough money in your account to cover the check amount. For example, you wrote the check for $100 and your friend has $150 in their account so they would be able to get the $100. If they do not have enough to cover the whole the check they will only be allowed to get as much cash as available in their account. The check itself will have a hold placed on it for a few business days depending on the amount and if the bank is local. They could go to BOA and cash the check in person but there will be a fee for non-customer cashing.

They can most likely cash it at their bank however it may take a little longer to clear.

Ohio might even have branches of BOA. It is a pretty large company.
