The spanish language. Introduction to western thought, much of it not spanish.
Did it come at too high a price in some ways? Probably. But the spread of diseases which decimated the native population was probably inevitable and unavoidable in an era that didn't know about microbes or have vaccines.
Personally, I wish they hadn't wantonly destroyed so much native architecture and art.

a lot of exploration and settlement - tho some of the native populations did not do too well.
most countries south of the US (except Brazil and some Caribbean islands) are predominantly Spanish speaking; Spain contributed to the culture of these countries (intermixed with native culture)

Horses, cattle, small pox, plague, chickens, wheat, rice, Christianity, gunpowder, steel, the wheel, the compass, pigs. Perhaps the greatest gift was alphabetic writing.

They did for Mexico and South America what the Europeans did for the Native American Indian.
Killed, captured and subjagated. Made them all speak spanish and convert to be Catholics.
