Yes, I have heard it before. It was in the original song of "Blue Moon" by the Marcels. Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald also sang it, but I don't think they used that same fill in line. I think it was from the 1960's. It was also sung in the movie, "Grease", but I can't remember if they used that phrase in it either. I think it was only in the version by the Marcels.

my grandfather didn't swear but he used expressions like "gol dabit" and when really upset "gol dab sominabic" so in effect he actually was swearing except he used nonsense words instead of English. from a distance it sounded like any other swearing, I could never see the point of it.
