They're best together. When you hear thunder it feels like the entire world is shaking. When you combine that with lightning that suddenly lights up the night, it's a perfect combination.

It is the combination of the two that has the most effectiveness. At least for me. How you possible have the whole experience with just one. A hot dog is only a hot dog with a bun and a wiener.

Lightening. It is after all what makes the sound of the thunder as well as giving us the light show.
