Recently I was having a baby name discussion with some girlfriends and 3 of the 5 of us hated the name Keith. I personally have no strong feelings about it. But 3 of these women hate the name, I mean passionately. What do you think?

I think they all slept with a guy named Keith (perhaps they all slept with the same one...) and he turned out to be a complete (insert expletive here)...

Well the middle name of my son is Keith so I am a little bias.
I went to school with guys named Keith and have known others by that name .. some very cute!
I think these women you mentioned may be associating the name with someone from their past as well.

I don't personally like it as a first name but it's ok as a middle name. My nephew's name is Taylor Keith. It could be that I'm just use to it though?

Keith isn't my favorite name but I don't hate it either. It's the name of one of my uncles so there's definitely an association thing going on there.

well maybe the name keith is too common. Or maybe they just happen to know a certain "Keith" , and left them with a bad impression.

I don't really know but I'm one of those who also really dislikes the name. It's just so plain and boring. It also rhymes with the word "Teeth" which is kind of funny.
