it actually depends a great deal on exactly "HOW" he is living with his parents. I just bought a house with 2 of my 3 daughters.... the oldest is 33 and the youngest is 29 (my middle daughter is married and has her own place). We don't live as "mother and daughters", we live more as respectful roommates. The oldest, who is single with no kids, has a full 1 bedroom apt. with kitchen and bath, etc with a separate entrance in the basemant which is beautiful. My youngest lives up in the main house with me- she has a daughter. Also, one of my grandsons from my middle daughter lives with us by mutual agreement. Everyone pays the mortgage, the utilities, contributes towards food and cleaning- although the basement dweller is responsible for all her own stuff as she wants it to be. We all respect each other and do not have male company at home, play overly loud music or disrupt each other in any way. it works for us! Anyway, I don't think there is anything strange about it at all- depending on the circumstances. I DO HOWEVER DISAGREE WITH A 36 YR OLD MAN DATING A TEEN!!!!

No. With the state of the economy and with the price of new homes on the rise, it is a reasonable alternative to living on the streets. Now, he can swing the stigma of living at home WHILE he is dating a 19 year old? You might be able to learn a thing or two from this guy!

Maybe it's a condition that his parents want to. Maybe his parents need their son to be with them for their comfort feelings.
Maybe he feels responsible to accompay his parents.
Somebody like that ( feeling responsible and care for parents,) usually late in getting married and its very common they end up married w much younger girl, its very common all over the world.

So I dont think it's weird.

It's weird to think that something different than what you know, is weird.

Females who end up looking after parents, lots of them dont even get married. (usually happened to youngest or eldest daughters very rare the middle ones).

That is pretty weird. How can you still live with your parents at 36! I couldn't live with my parents when I was 18!

Yes...I agree. I know a guy who has 4 kids by 3 different women and lives with his mother. That's even worse.

why would we call him "dumb" ?!
it's his life dude....... as long as her parents are happy and satisfied with his presence, nobody, sorry saying so, should interfere in his own affairs.
is his presence in his parent's house harming you or anybody else ?!

then, if the girl is not claiming or objecting....... so, what's weired about this?!, for sure, if she doesn't want to continue, she wouldn't be forced on such situation or at least complain.

it seems that we, people, who became sooooo weired !!

In America, YES. In another culture, no.

Is he SAVING his money? If so, it could be a good thing. Does he help out at home?

I don't think it's dumb, maybe they all enjoy each other's company. They have there reasons & that should be respected.
