My gf of 2 years broke up with me last Friday for a guy she met on myspace. Everythign was perfect before, well I had some depression problems for a while..but for the most part our relationship was really good. At first, I told her I didn't want her to go and I even teared up a little bit. She told me I would find someone else someday. I couldn't believe she could flat out say, "the chemistry between him and I is too much to pass up." She had not even met him at that point, but now she has and she said "things are good thus far." I really think it's just a temporary infatuation to be honest. Anyway, I stopped talking to her and after a few days she did email me to see how things were going and we have been passing email back and forth just keeping things casual but I really want her back you know? What can I do to atleast try and please don't say "move on." We did break up another time once but she got back with me after a day and said she made a mistake.

I know this sounds childish, but on myspace she switched to "single", put this new guy as her number 1 friend and me as number 2. When I switched her to number 2 and another girl to number 1 she said that was immature. She can still get "jealous" maybe? After all of this happened I kept my cool though and thats when she started emailing me and I haven't been bring up "us" at all.

I know you said don't say it, but move on. Even if this myspace thing doesn't work out, it is proof that things are not so great. You don't fall in love with someone else if things in the relationship are perfect. Things were already messed up. This is just her "excuse". Again, sorry to tel you, but you should move on, not for her but for you.

I'm so sorry. That sounds really horrible of her to do that and then flaunt it in your face.
But anyway, just keep talking to her for a while and see if she changes her mind if you are really willing to put yourself in that position. But I would try to move on now if you can and if she doesn't want to lose you then she'll make the effort and realise her mistake.
Also, the more you grovel and stuff and be there for her, some people love that. I don't understand it but some people like to have people hanging off them and play two cards with the same hand, if you get what I am saying.

It sounds like you care deeply for this girl, I hate when guys like you are wasted on girls like her. She sounds super immature, and honestly I can' see why you'd want her, but since you do, I think making her jealous is the way to go. Don't be available to her emails or otherwise. If she calls, just sound like your having a great time, go out with your friends, try to meet other girls. This will make her see what she had and want you back. If you do get back together with her, act as if you are the prize not her, she sounds like she using you as a back up

1st, she is really cool about telling you that she wanted someone else and breaking up w/u But that is as far as her cudos go.
2nd ive been there, and it is a dark road my friend, do you really think that if you do get back together you will be able to keep your cool, and not throw all that guilt back in her face, when you finally do blow up.. i mean really things werent perfect otherwise she would not think about the chemistry with him as being better.
3rd. You are her back up, and quite possibly she could be playing a game w/you my friend... which means that even if you too do get back together, How would that make you feel about you. DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BE AN ALTERNATIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I had a chance to do it over , I tried every trick in the book to get her back , instead of being cool , and being the man I only wish I would have been , it took years to get to this point , she was such a waist of my time , and in a few years you'll say the same thing ., oh how I wish I would have played the cool dood who could take her or leave her , after all she could take me or leave me , oh what I wouldn't give to be in your shoes ,, I would say ,{{ hows it goin ? }} no problem you can have him if you want him ,,, what ever }}} thats what I'de say,,

if you want her back...... jealousy best way to go, im not even joking this almost exact situation happened to me, except after about 3 weeks i didnt want her back but she came crawling back in the end. and plus when you're with someone new that you like, you get a different kind of happiness, one that will seem alien and just plain euphoric
