This isnt a temporary thing.... the dude has shown that he historically cant manage his money, thus his crappy credit rating.
Dont get sucked into giving him money. Thats what people have been doing all along, and its time he learned that its HIS responsibility to take care of business.
I hope to God you arent thinking of marrying this clown.....

have you tried moving into something more in his price range? try getting him on a budget. When you get a pay check take so much out of it and put it into savings. Like my husband and I lets say his pay check is 600 a week, he would have 100 put into a saving account automatically. That way if anything like this is to happen you can have some money to help you in times of needs. can he get a second job, ask help from the government, look for odd jobs to do for people. what about working over time, and or getting a better paying job.

Foreclosures are very easy to fix when you move away from a bank and go with a private lender. In the area that I'm from, David Ely works with private investers to turn foreclosures into letting you keep your home. You can visit his website here: http://www.simplehomeinvesting.com Give him a call and explain yourself. He is a kind gentleman that will gladly tell you what to do next.

i see that other people have already gave you some good websites but my own advice would be to hav someone move in and pay rent
sure he would hav to share a bit but it could seriously improve his financial stability
as for him and his bro being sick - free clinics are the best choice until you are insured - hosp bills could be the icing on the cake of his financial suicide

If he is Not paying the mortgage ,
They will make him move .
Why would the lender let him continue to live there free ?
If he is Not paying the mortgage , ALL the lenders know it and have labeled him a deadbeat .
NO lender will give loans to people who do Not pay .
Time to start looking for apartments .
People move all the time , no big deal .
He's had lots of free housing while Not paying his bill ,
Now it is time to move somewhere he can pay the bill .

Tell him to go here:
http://www.daveramsey.com
This site will help him get his finances inorder, help with the mortgage company, etc. It is hard work and he will probably not want to do it at first. But he can and will get out of debt and keep his house if he just follows the steps and STICKS TO THE PROGRAM. No money is involved!! Only hard work, common sense and the ability to get your head on straight.
Good luck to you and him.

thats tough. i really cant tell you specific ways to raise money which is really what he needs. but i can tell you if he has equity in the property, maybe you can find an investor who will buy the property & lease it back to him. of course the investors incentive will be the equity & ownership of the property, but your bf will get to stay in the home if its important enough to him.
