He has more than what it takes.

He was in State senate for 8 years, and by the time of inauguration, he will have been in the US senate for 4 years.

In comparison, Hillary Clinton will only have 8 years in US senate.

Granted, there is a difference between state senate and US senate, but Obama has leadership in all levels of government: municipal, state, and national. Clinton only has national experience, and one of the leading republicans, Giuliani, only has municipal experience.

Now just for a little interesting trivia, Abraham Lincoln, one of America's greatest presidents, served 8 years in the state senate, then only 2 years in the House before he was elected.

vote Obama '08!

Right now he doesn't. The current round of "debates" and the public appearances while campaigning are all prepared statements and he seems unable to coherently answer a question. His reputation is all remnents from his keynote speech at the DNC convention, and that was prepared by a cabal of the best writers the DNC could muster. They were setting him up as the future of the Democrat party, he is way too green as his constant misstatements attest to.

He is a good guy but the answer is no.

His wife, definitely, does not have what it takes to be a First Lady.

If you look at her public statements, it is quite clear she would be an embarrassment to the country.
