Do you ever have a problem with either not defending yourself or being too defensive because of your height? I need some advice on how to stop people from treating me like a little kid without being too defensive and on edge about it. Any tips?
Im 4'10 and 16 btw

I actually never had a problem because of my height- although people have always thought I was younger than I am and they used to think I was "cute". I'm 53 now and 5 feet tall. my 3 daughters are 4'11", 4'10" & 4'8". I don't think any of them had any problems directly caused by their height- they are 29, 31 & 33 now. I DO have a very small grandson now who is almost 5. but about the size of a 2 1/2 yr old and I'm afraid he may have problems when he gets older. It's different for a girl I think. Don't worry about it- there are a lot of us shorties and it just means we have the pick of ALL the guys! Good Luck

All I can say is to ignore them. I'm about your same age, and I'm just 5'2". I get so defensive about my height because they call me a midget, and loads of other little jokes. Then I can't reach stuff, or I'm always trying to jump to get something. I'm like whateva! But then I'm a bit sad. lol Height doesn't make the person. Sure, I love tall guys, but I like short guys too. It doesn't matter. Let them talk, but don't let it get to you. I feel your pain, even if I'm 4 inches taller.

im 5'3 and 14. but i dont take anything seriously when it comes to my height. i just laugh it off and keep going. just tell to back off or something will happen to them, used to work for me. of course..i had all my friends around me and they are like 6 inches taller than me

i'm 5 foot. people don't really bug me about being short. sometimes they like to sit on me but i just bite them. the only thing i don't like about being short is going to concerts because you can't see over peoples heads
