Probably. Head over to http://www.blackanddecker.com/CustomerCenter/Parts.aspx to check your screwdriver and see if they offer a replacement battery pack.

I hear ya - I have an old Black & Decker Dustbuster for which I'm trying to locate a replacement battery. As long as you can get the correct type of battery, there's no reason you can't take the screwdriver apart and replace it, and get lots more use out of it. Just be sure that the cost of the battery doesn't exceed the cost of a new screwdriver; if it is close, then your best bet for getting the most from your money in terms of value and long life may be to get a new one, and recycle all the parts of the old one.

Good luck!

If the battery is removable, you can replace it. If it is inside the cover and the charger plugs directly into the screwdriver, no you cannot replace the battery. Go to B & D website with your model # and you should be able to find out for sure if it is replaceable or not. Most of the screwdrivers batteries are not replaceable.

Rechargeable batteries can be replaced, but check out the price first. Often it is just as cheap to buy a whole new tool.

yes they can. Go to the manufactures website with the model of your drill. Almost all cordless drill batteries fail before the life of the drill expires. Get the part number of the battery and do a internet search to find the cheapest place to get one because it will not be from the manufacturer, go to ebay, froogle.com etc... do not forget to dispose of your bayttery properly.
