Don't you wish you could feel alone in a crowded elevator?

I hate when people get on there with eight strollers and all that. For chrissakes, it's a babysitter!!!

Honestly, I don't know where I was going with this. But I was thinking about that "alone in a crowded room" thing...

I usually take the stairs, unless I'm in a high-rise building. I'm petrified of elevators.

Many, many moons ago I worked telemarketing on the 5th floor of an office building. After lunch one day, everyone was scrambling to get back to work and the lobby was full. I got onto the elevator but was one of the first on, therefore I ended up in the back. People kept getting in and getting in until it was so full that it was IMPOSSIBLE to feel alone. We're talking oh... 20 people or so. You literally couldn't move.

So imagine our *surprise* when the damn thing got stuck between the 4th and 5th floors. Morons. What were they thinking? By the time everyone started shoving in there was no way to get out.

Well this really isn't answering you question but I really hate it when there is just you and one other person in the elevator and your tummy growls and you know they heard it... and that 30 seconds to your floor seems more like 10 minutes.

You know something, everytime the elevator stops at a floor to get someone........I actually resent that person and think "couldn't you have left like ONE minute later, then I wouldn't have to be in this tiny space with you"

I think you are,frankly. This is the crowded room and you do feel alone.
