The portugese police have named Gerry and Kate as suspects.
The Potugese police have earth shattering DNA results sent to them from the UK.
A Cadaver dog has found traces in the villa and on the clothes of the McCanns.
Blood traces found in the boot of the hire car which was used five weeks after the crime.
And how are the Portugese police going to wield this mass of evidence.
ERM! Kate if you admit to it, we'll let you off with two years!
Bullsh!te people, this is not a professional investigation and you are all being suckered into it.
The question - Why offer a two year deal, is it not just so that they can close the case as quickly as possible and get the heat of them.

The Portuguese police have shown to the whole world their sheer incompetence, even something as fundamental as forensic teams gathering DNA weren't wearing protective suits.
They are a complete joke.

To the people saying it's a set up. How can that be? Where in the world would they get the blood for the DNA test? Are you saying that's fake also? Look, I would maybe(and this is a big maybe) believe that it might be a set up if it were just the Portuguese police doing the testing. But, I highly doubt that UK investigators who found the blood traces and did the DNA testing are lying. Sometimes you just have to face the facts.
ETA: The reason they offered her a deal (well i mean IF they officially offered)is because they now have the evidence they need courtesy of the UK investigators. They had nothing to accuse her with until the DNA test came back. Well, unless you count child neglect for leaving her kids alone but that's a different topic.

Wait until the evidence is revealed. People are just wildly speculating at this point and listening only to the McCann's pr team. There is definitely something suspicious about this couple. They have been dodgy since the beginning. Visiting the pope may have been a penance or an attempt to offer forgiveness for their crime. A couple who callously would leave three young children alone like that is capable of lying, murder and a cover up. Don't be fooled by their cute accents, their pretty faces and their wealth.

Dont underestimate the Team McCann PR team to confuse. The Portuguese Police have said very little. The Anti Portugese guff is coming from Team McCann and their friends in the British Media.

I think its because this case has taken so long, so many man hours and probably cost a fortune in resources. They obviously have some evidence but possibly evidence which will be difficult to prove and they are just trying to bring it all to a conclusion as soon as possible and hope that Kate McCann will crumble and confess under pressure. Which may work if shes guilty, but if she isnt they will just look even more inept than they do already.

I'm sorry but 2 weeks into the case the parents were my main suspects. The day they were filmed out jogging i reckoned there was something rotten in the state of denmark about them. 2 weeks after thepossible abduction of your child the last thing your interested in is keepin fit. Everything those people have done strikes me as staged and a little too well planned. I've been right before about things like this and it look like i could be right again.

Fact is blood in a rented car, blood found in apartment, she supposedly checked every half hour on the children yet witnesses at resturant say she never left the table, never no tears, never actually looked themselves, all a sudden they can speak out to everyone when before supposedly not allowed to. It is nothing but a bull. Now those who still believe their innocent, well you just keep fooling yourself.

I'm sorry, none of the story has made any sense to me at all.
I know i'm getting 8th hand stories, i either check on here or i listen to my mum on the phone and she tries to keep up with Sky News.
I'm in Texas and have only heard our local reporter mention this case once this week, so i'm really confused about this whole atrocity.
I want that baby found so badly.
