NO FAIRNESS DOCTRINE!

Goodness sake, I didn't fight for freedom of speech as a democrat to have THAT nonsense used to set it back!

Oprah seems to be forgetting that she is the Hostess on her show which means she should be gracious and extend the courtesy of appearing on her show to any candidate that would like to be heard.

This does not take away her right to speak up for her favorite candidate and by interviewing others she might show her pick to be the best of the group and give the public all the information they need to choose who they think will be best.

Fairness doctrine originated in 1930 for radio, TV was not around yet. It would be very hard to legislate TV and radio, but, with all of the hate speech on the airwaves, it seems like something should be done.

No, see, the fairness doctrine only descriminates against Reps. Dems can do and say whatever they want without fear of consequenses.
Oh yeah, they do that now.

considering that the republicans have been the only ones who have brought up the fairness doctrine recently, and no one has brought it up in the 110th congress...

i'm sure it would. because they're uncomfortable with the whole imagined liberal bias.
