Jacksonville is rated #3 this week on many lists because of the fact that they are a Tier 2 defense against a bad offense.

Miami has a killer run defense and poor pass defense. They face Washington that has a good run offense and a poor pass offense. This looks like the ideal matchup for Miami to shut them out.

Oakland kept teams to league best 150.8 passing yards/game last year - mainly because everyone just ran on them. Against Detroit - a passing team, they look tempting to pick off Kitna at least two times.

Washington: Because Miami's offense is terrible.

Minnesota: Vikings were brutal against the run. And thats all that Falcons have!

Right now, I want to rate them as such:
1. Jacksonville
2. Miami
3. Minnesota
4. Oakland
5. Washington.

Any insight or rankings would help a lot!

You certainly didn't draft 5 defensive teams, so it must be a salary cap league or somesuch- in which case, why not a defense like New England, San Diego or Philadelphia?

Trent Green hasn't taken a snap yet, and Miami's offense is terrible?

I'd probably put Minnesota after Oakland, but otherwise your rankings seem good.

enable's seem at Tarvaris Jackson. Now seem at David Garrard. Hmmm.... And by the type, now that the Jags have a former Vikes reciever (Troy Williamson) AND Jerry Porter their huge Recieving corp is better, too. As for Tight Ends, the shown fact which you clumped them in with the Wideouts is a shame. The Jags have the final intensity at Tight end of very nearly any group interior the leauge. It is going like this: Wrighster, who's a dull on blocker and good reciever, Lewis, who's blockading is in choose yet can seize very very nearly something, Estandia, who's somewhat youthful yet grants a 6'8" objective around the middle, and Angulo, who's additionally 6'8" and stepped in and filled a extensive choose while all of the different 3 have been injured overdue final season. ultimately, seem on the stats. The Jags went 11-5 in soccer's toughest branch and beat the Steelers on the line interior the playoffs. The Vikings went 10-6 interior the NFC North, attending to overcome up on the hapless Bears and Lions all season, and did not even make the playoffs. No contest right here, the Jaguars are the greater advantageous group palms down.

Personally, I like the Vikings - not only is this week a good matchup for them, the next 3 weeks before their bye is as well.

Jacksonville, Oakland, Washington would follow for me.

Oakland has a great schedule all season long.

honestly yea i agree on your rankings but this week....i would go with the Minnesota vikings....the falcons are going to have problems.....they dont have vick and its their first game.....Harrington isnt much of a threat and the falcons arent as good runners without the defense worrying about vick....and yea the vikings D was outstanding against the run and this preseason they were doing good against the pass...thats the DEF i would start for week 1
good luck

.Minnesota is going against a weak Atlanta team, with Vick gone, harrington is starting, and he has a bad track record. And Minnesota has a better defense than most people believe.
