A really good place is Atlanta, Georgia the homes are priced from the low $200,000's. Great beaches just a while away and low crime rate perfect place to live. My sister lives there and she loves it. Ton's of job offers.

That's so funny. I was thinking of moving to NC because houses here in Los Angeles are three times the price! The average home where I live is between $700K to $1Mil.

You will have to go further south or north to find cheaper homes. Unfortunately, you'll also find less work and more extreme weather.

Good luck. The grass is always greener in another state.

PS: Although San Diego is an amazing city (my hometown) - it's very expensive and the job market is slow.

Well I live in MI and it is nice here. Some people say there is a lack of jobs in some areas but not from what I've seen. Homes close to lake Michigan are not that expensive compared to other places. You have the great lakes, a whole lotta trees, and nice people. I like it. : )
