Only time heals all wounds. The best thing you can do is be there for her and be her friend. She needs that most right now. Try to keep her mind off it and on something else. Send her my best wishes!

Going out with friends and having a good time is the best way to begin to mend a broken heart. Other than that it takes time and lots of prayer.

I've never been that broken hearted but whenever things got rough in a relationship I always found a good girls night out at the bar or a movie night worked just fine! I got my night away just to hang with the girls, have girl talk and all that and things were always better after that.
When my ex broke up with me I just spent a lot of time with close friends and spent too much money...shopping isn't the answer!
Just hang out with friends, watch movies you love and just remember that the other person is an ex for a reason.

Cry, play some sad music, then some angry music, get some good friends and just go out and have fun. Take the number out of your cell phone. Don't call, email or text the ex. Avoid the alcohol and rebound relationships though.
As a friend just be their support. Don't force them to do it, because they are grieving the relationship and everyone does that in their own way and in their own time.

Time. You have experienced a major loss. Be with your grief and lean into it for awhile...In time you will be able to let go.
