I is first person; you is second person. A person's name is third person. So if I wanted to write something in the third person, all I have to do is write something using my name. For example, instead of writing I like using my computer, I can write, Paul like's using his computer.

you put your opinion into the work, you just don't use "I think", or "we know", etc. Like, for example, say your opinion is smoking shouldn't be allowed in public areas. State it as a fact, "Smoking should not be allowed in public areas", then back it up with info, so it is a strong and third person opinionated essay

First person is when you write about yourself, ' I did this' 'I think' etc
Second person is when you directly address the reader 'You should', 'You can' etc
Third person sounds more official and more formal
For example:-
'He did this',
'She did that',
'They believe',
'Consumers/users report'
'Readers have commmented'.

Easy just change your pronouns. Instead of "you might" say "One might" instead of "I did" say John did. ( or whatever your name is.
Example: One might find the invention of the book boring however if one were to step back and contemplate life without these marvels it would soon cease to be boring.....
