GOD BLESS AMERICA (below) Impressive! And a pleasant surprise (for me). You are often in support of Bush (so I thought). This response shows that you are not as right-biased as I presumed. My apologies...

Yes he is.
Another dumb move by the W. again.
And what's going to happen when the Sunnis receive weapons from us?
You think that they're going to to join forces with America?
Nope. The exact opposite will happen.
They're going to use those weapons against American troops.
I know, it's a very stupid move.

This is not the first time Bush flip flopped. In fact the whole war was a flip flop from Bush's campaign promises. Bush should have realized to begin with that removing Saddam would shift the balance of power towards the Shiites and Iran. Yes, extremely short sighted.

No, 1 year ago Chaney went to Saudi Arabia and was ripped up one side and down the other by the oil masters he serves.
It seems the Bin Laden family are Sunnis, as were the 9/11 hijackers. It seems the Bin Laden family is going nuts with fear that the Shiite majority will win this civil war and merge with Iran which is also Shiite, thus creating a Shiite superpower in the middle east which will threaten the Bin Laden family and their oil and money.
Notice it was immediately AFTER that visit that "Policy" changed from anti Sunni to Anti Shiite.
Poor George and Dick, you really fuxxed up now! What's the matter? Afraid the Bin Laden family will get revenge on you by spilling evidence?

There is ample evidence that Bush's policies are short sighted. It seems to have taken him far to long to realize that instead of keeping Sunni's from having an active part in the country he should have embraced them. After all if you weren't a Saddam loyalist you had no quality of life, these people were what they had to be to survive.

I completely agree jointly with your view..easily Saudis are abetting Sunnis in Iraq to accomplish insurgency against Us troops....Ignorant or willfully ignoring the certainty,it keeps blaming Iran for the quagmire and additionally paving a thank you to a clean conflict that could have far greater outcomes decrease back in US....What to do..Saudis are helping US( and its producing surplus capability and that supplies you your answer)..in assessment to Saudi, Iran is purely producing nukes to be utilized in civilian sectors and US which has have been given the huge stash of nukes won't be able to stand yet another nuke potential arising...

Regan and Bush SR did the same thing. You do realize that we armed Sadam during the Reagan years. Talk about short sighted.

Everything he does is not based on the short term outlook. He told you the battle v. Jihadis would be long and difficult. But you Libs want a video game. You have completely forgotten that the price of liberty is eternal vigilance.

I'm sure that according to Bush, it's still better to use our country's money to buy the Middle Easterners weapons, than it is to do anything with his own country.

To the contrary, Bush has long term interests of the US in mind (freedom, safety, etc) vs. his predecessor and his zipper fetish
