The good news is, we don't have to buy anything we don't want to buy.

There maybe some assumptions attached to this question. Overall, I don't particularly care and these are issues that don't really impact my life overall.

Greed is greed. I'm not impressed by money, wealth or power. Any persuasion, techniques, marketing, etc. around these issues are completely lost on me. I am a marketer's nightmare. Trying to appeal to me for political and advertising needs is laughable.

For example, some bureaucratic marketing that is designed to incite the passion of the community usually results in a yawn for me. Manipulation doesn't go very far with me.

No, I'm disturbed to be served by faceless bureaucrats who believe that I am as greedy as they are, and I feel for the true victims of the farms, those that don't have the luxury to sit around on their computers answering questions about philosophy.

The interesting thing about getting older is that we come to realize we ourselves are responsible for things that when we were younger we thought 'they' were doing. I appreciate the concern with the issue, but the malady lies within ME too, not only with them. So, of course we need to try to be as ethical and conscientious as we can, but the world isn't perfect.
