somone please help me. I have mame 2 (SNK emulator) and I have the roms and everything, but i had a problem. I went to tab during a game, and i went to configure (general) and for the menu, i hit enter as if i was changing the key to get to the menu, then i accidently hit esc. and it said None. So no i cant pull out the menu. Is there a cache or something or some way to restore the settings?

Are you saying you have MAME32?
Most likely you have re-configured the normal menu key, Tab to something else. To restore the default settings, you'll have to delete the default.cfg file from the cfg/ subdirectory below the main MAME directory.
If you have settings you don't want to lose, you can also try to edit default.cfg with any text editor, since the input configuration files are in XML format. Find the line that says
