I have an important document that fits into a regular envelope that needs to reach Olympia, Wa in 4 days from Pittsburg. I need to know if it will reach there in time?

Average mailing time for first class mail is 3-5 business days. While there is a "chance" your letter could get there in 4 days, if it HAS to be there by that time, DON'T take a chance, mail it overnight mail.

Personal experience is that when you are counting on something to arrive in a certain time, it doesn't. Play it safe, and smart, and spend the extra money to make sure it arrives on time.

if it's that important you should send it priority mail or next day mail. it wouldn't surprise me if it took 4 or 5 days to go the distance you want, because i believe there is no more airmail, so your letter will probably travel overland all the way.
that's why i suggest next day or 2nd day mail. i know it's a lot more expensive, but only you know how important that piece of mail is. good luck to ya
