It was widely reported at the time that this is what Kate McCann said after returning from her apartment when she found that Maddeline was missing. Why would you say "THEY'VE taken her?" Who is they? Was this some sort of a cover up or did they genuinely believe someone was watching them and their family?
Waht do you think?

I wouldn't have returned to the table, i would have screamed out immediately to everyone "my baby's gone", or something like it. "They've taken her" does sound strange, but then unless it happens to you, how do you know what you would do?
I could go round in circles all night thinking about this. And it won't help, we'll all just have to wait and see.

while this element initially arose all those years in the past, there become theory, hearsay that the trip complicated supervisor had, before that day, spoken to them approximately Madeleine crying and would have stated that if she continued crying at evening and that they weren't there, Madeleine may well be bumped off to a place of risk-free practices till the Mc's must be got here across, he additionally presented a splash one video reveal to them which become refused, and presented a loose infant sitter, the sitter become cancelled by way of them in the previous they went out that evening to the pub quiz interior the tapas bar, they weren't having a quiet meal with acquaintances. yet another element become that when the "mom" looked shouting "they have taken her" the "father" did no longer ask which of their daughters become the "she", he basically stood up "roaring like a bull" in drunken anger. Then they and their acquaintances went to the appartment and crashed by way of it destroying any attainable forensic evidence and moving each and every thing aeound in the previous at last contacting SKY, a buddy to produce broadcast high quality pictures for the media, government contacts and eventually the Portuguese Police stress.

i agree with that point and a lot of other points that may suggest something untoward on the mccann's part, i believe that there is something that the mccann's aren't telling us, however, as far as today's reports go, i think the portuguese police dont have a clue and are just trying to stick it on them wether it is them or not! why? because the hire car that they say has dna from madeleine in it, is still in the possession of the mccann's, now why would they be left with a major piece of evidence, and how would the mccann's be able to bundle maddie's body out of the house and into the car without being seen, bearing in mind the media have been camping outside their house since it all began! nonsense, the portuguese police are absolutely incompetent and are only wanting this wrapped up and wanting it to be the parents so it doesnt harm their tourism. am not saying they are innocent or guilty, just that some of the accusations and statements are totally absurd and they all come from the portuguese police, get our own force in charge for the search for maddie!
and accident or not it is still murder, black is black, white is white and murder is murder.

Didn't know that, but it changes no part of my personal beliefs the McCann's know what happened to Maddie, they need to stop pretending and just admit a horrible accident happened that night!

I believe this will go down as one more unsolved crime in the annals of history, just like the JonBenet Ramsey case; Jack the Ripper; and the Holloway case in Aruba. -RKO- 09/07/07

It was a strange thing to say ! I wonder which context it was meant in .Perhaps they suspected they had been watched, or they were warned of previous kidnap attempts in the complex.

Ok imagine this.
You've been mugged in the street, the police come around and when you are telling the police about it you say "they've taken my mobile, purse, etc".... but it was just one mugger who took your bag.
See?
