Once bitten, twice shy. He has a temper, and uses it to "win" arguments. He might love you, but it's really dangerous to love him. The only good point I can see here is that he did not physically hurt you. But you know, no one should ever do that, so that's almost neutral. You don't say how long you've been together, but you need to think about how long you knew him before he showed this temper to you. Now think about what the rest of your life might be like. What happens when he's angry at your kids? Or friends, relatives? If he's building relationships because he can bully people into hanging around, he's not for you. He might believe he needs you; I hope you have a well paid job, because you'll need one to handle the upcoming legal issues the next time he blows. If you walk now, you know you won't have to live through another argument like yesterday.

Dent my car. My car's already banged up a little. I would collapse if I broke the neck of my guitar. I already put a little hole in my acoustic guitar and that almost made me cry (the guitar's worth about $1k).

Cars are impersonal things with no spirit, my guitar is an extension of my soul and i would never want it broken

My car (if I drove a junk but I have no cars at the moment)...the mere thought of breaking musical instruments makes me cringe
