killed alot of workers so the price of skilled workers went up. Feudal lords and barons released their peasants and peons because they became expensive and they had too many obligations for so few people. They took up practical things like sheepherding instead and so England went from a land based economy to an economy based on credit and money

In Sociology they say that if more than 10% of a nation's people die within a short time it traumatizes the entire population. In high school history class they said atleast 30% of the population of western europe perished. In newer studies on the subject they usually say its 45-55%. So you have a whole lot less people and the survivors of the plague are terrified. A terrified worker isn't always the most productive.

over all if you look at the Dark Ages, many things came out of it, it was not a time of poverty, but of rich lords conquering to become richer,
the plague was just a nuisance to them,
the wars at the time killed more people

you do not need workers to have a great economy,
when nobody is alive to benefit from the work being done

the black death killed poeple which made less worker which equals less prodution which mean inflation. then alot of poeple wanted to get out of the cities and rural areas becuase that is where alot of the diease was so then u have massive amounts of migration from country to country which caused alot of promblems in it self but this also leads back to inflation becuase evey one moved to get a way from the black death.
