What an irresponsible attitude! I can't believe all these answers!Has it occurred to anyone that someone else has to do your job for you? Someone has to cover? Has everyone got jobs that you are so dispensable?I was a Care manager for a school for young people with learning disabilities ,and lots of staff pulled sickies; it had awful consequences as not enough staff to cover, I think each person in a job should commit to it, why should you be paid for work you haven't done? Why should you have have a job that you are not committed to? How would you feel as an employer if your staff stayed off for such pathetic reasons? would you want to keep them???If you were a co worker would you want them back??

if you work in retail, I'd say yes- its sunny out and its rare to be sunny and on the weekend as well!
But also dont forget your work mates, if you go off sick, who will be doing your work for you- without getting any double pay for doing two jobs at the same time! It may also make them want to pull sickies on other days meaning in return you get the extra work and stress.

And then consider, dont you need the money?

You should go to work and earn some money because when you get paid you can spend the money on things that you like.

The only reason for not going into work is if you can earn more money by not going to work.(Or if you are in no fit state to go to work!!)

if you think people will believe you!! If you have moaned about having to work til 9, to anyone, then don't do it - they will remember!!!!

Also remember nobody believes one days sick - got to be 2 to be believable!!

enjoy your day!!
