I cannot think of any good topics for the essay! It has to be a persuasive essay that includes a personal narrative.

i was thinking about doing the essay on persuading ppl that testing products on animals should be illegal but I don't really have a personal story that would relate to that. I am a vegetarian though and I believe in stopping unnecessary killing of animals.

Think about something that has happened in your life that has made you feel some emotion particularly strongly, whatever that emotion may be, then use that experience to convince others to feel that same way.

Despite the fact you are a vegetarian and have a personal belief that animals should not be killed unnecessarily, maybe a different topic with which you do have personal experience would better suit you. Persuasive essays are for persuading people to see things your way, or do things your way or believe things your way. What other than vegetarianism do you have personal experience? Exercise?? An essay about the cognitive benefits of regular exercise, persuading people to advocates of exercise. Or pick a different kind of exercise, like Tai Chi, persuade that Tai Chi is beneficial even though it is practiced very slowly. You probably could persuade someone to eat broccoli or Tofu. Go narrow in your scope for the essay and you may find you have personal experience that would work well in your essay. Persuade people to have animal pets, (if you have one). Persuade people to brush their teeth every morning and every night. Persuade someone to use your favorite soap or shampoo. Your topic can be fun, so go for it.

There are many topics you can use for this. You could do it on the debate of whether euthanasia should be legalised, The debate about abortions, Legal driving age, Legal drinking age. etc. Hope one of these helps. I remember doing that when I was at school and I think I actually ended up doing the cruelty against animal through laboritory testing. Below are some links that might help you with the animal testing topic.

This thing has three separate parts. Lets look at them individually.
1. It need to be persuasive. This means you want to get somebody to do something.
2. It is an essay not a speech. This means it must be written.
3. It is a personal narrative. This means it must be about you or something you feel strongly about.
If it is something you feel strongly about it should start something like this:
I believe that J. K. Rowling is a great author. The reason I feel this way is because
If it is about you it should start with something like The following happened to me, my father gave me my own cell phone to use in emergencies. I was recently hurt and had to contact him in a hurry.
As a result, I believe that all kids 10 or older should have emergency use cell phones.
The above are examples !! Do not use them unless they are actually something that happened to you or something that you believe in or feel strongly about ! Remember you have to relate it back to you since this is a personal narrative.
Good Luck.

You don't necessarily have to have gone through the experience to be able to write a persuasive essay about this. As long as you truly believe in it, you can write effectively. You can mention in the essay that you are a vegetarian, that animals are living beings too, etc. I think as long as you are explaining from what you think personally, hold your position, you'll do well.

Sex education Gay marriage Animal rights Protecting the environment Cell phones in high schools Teen pregnancy Foreign language requirement in school Standardized testing You could also just pick any opinion you have about something...it doesn't have to be controversial as long as you could think of stuff to write.

If people didn't test products on animals, what do you propose they test them on? Do you want them to test them on humans?
