Well I can no say if it is normal or not, but I think in this day and age, with the amount of presser and stress that most people are under, than I would say a lot of people think about suicide these days as the only option out there for them. But I beg you, if you are feeling this way to see your doctor and maybe get a referral to a specialist. My brother took his own life two years ago, and the pain for his family will never go away, and believe me no matter how hard life feels it is getting for you, there is the help and support out there for you.
Please think twice, take care. xxx

It's common for teens to think about death to some degree. Teens' thinking capabilities have matured in a way that allows them to think more deeply - about their existence in the world, the meaning of life, and other profound questions and ideas. Unlike kids, teens realize that death is permanent. They may begin to consider spiritual or philosophical questions such as what happens after people die. To some, death, and even suicide, may seem poetic (consider Romeo and Juliet, for example). To others, death may seem frightening or be a source of worry. For many, death is mysterious and beyond our human experience and understanding.
What makes some teens begin to think about suicide - and even worse, to plan or do something with the intention of ending their own lives? One of the biggest factors is depression. Suicide attempts are usually made when a person is seriously depressed or upset. A teen who is feeling suicidal may see no other way out of problems, no other escape from emotional pain, or no other way to communicate their desperate unhappiness.

I think it is normal to think about suicide.
People come across all sorts of situations in life, some bad experiences may even damage the person inside, causing them to think of ways to escape the situation.
However, it depends on the person really and even though lots of people may think about suicide, only a small percentage of those people will go on to take their own life - it is only those who are pushed to extremes.

Normal? I would say know, if you are having suicidal ideations than get help for yourself. Do we think about it at times yes, I do, I have but I am also on medication becuase underneath those thoughts there were plans and I never did anything harm myself not would I, I love myself to much (HAHA) but I addressed certain aspects of those thoughts and I am super but exploring our own deaths satisifies a little curiosity but seek help if you have an issue or two.
Good Luck, Take er easy
PS My cousin took his own life and that couldnt have been more devastating to all of us

Many people have thought about suicide at some point in their lives. However if suicide dominates the person's thoughts, this is not normal and help should be sought immediatly.
