I love to read silly teenage girl books. I have read the Clique series, the Twilight series, the Georgia Nicholson series, the mates dates series, harry potter, inkheart, inkspell. I like any genre!

Try Libba Bray's series, which at the moment consists of the books "A Great and Terrible Beauty," which is first in the trilogy, and "Rebel Angels." I have just finished these myself, and am eagerly anticipating the release of the final installment, due December 26th.

The series is somewhat Harry Potteresque, in the respects that it is about discovering magical abilities while at a boarding school, but the main character is a girl and it is set in Victorian England (1895). The heroine begins to see visions on her 16th birthday, and is sent to an all-girls' school, where she and her friends discover and rebuild an ancient and powerful society.

You could also try 'Bad Girls' by Alex McAuley. It is about an undisciplined teenage girl who is sent to a wilderness survival camp by parents who hope to reform her wild ways. Things go badly astray during a hike through the jungle of the remote Caribbean island it is located on, and the heroine finds herself forming cliques and fighting for survival in the wilderness.

The librarian knows us by name. Right now I'm reading a few Ann B. Ross books. The are pretty good. Recently read Mango Sunrise (something like that) and really enjoyed it - can't recall the author right off. I've read all the Potter books and if you haven't read the entire Chronicles of Narnia, I'd say you're never too old for that!

The Xanth Series by Piers Anthony is great. It's not deep literature or anything, but it's a fun read and most libraries carry his books because they're so popular.

Oh yeah, and anything by Maeve Binchy.

If you honestly are open to any genre, and want to try something completely new, which i think you should try!,
try reading Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw. It's one of those classics, but it's also a hilarious play.
