ha ha! angelonthefrontline got it right. they are ugly! which makes me wonder why anyone would want one. i understand with black people that its a status thing, like jewelry and big rims. blacks think theyre cool if they own an ugly pitbull with its ears and tail chopped off. but what about everyone else? why do you want an ugly dumb dog that could kill an innocent child?

I was a vet tech for 4 years, so yes, of course i have.
Yet, from experience, it wasn't the pits that were bad. It was German Shepherds (who by the way, have a hirer bite rate than pits), Chihuahuas, and those other silly "toy" breeds (there is no such thing as a "toy" dog, breeders just say that to hook you). My pit is the best dog I've ever had and I would get another one before I'd get other dogs. I'm glad you didn't give up on the breed. I hate it when people who don't do their research talk about how horrible pits are when they have no idea and have probably never even been around one half of the time.

I have been bitten a few times. I break violent dogs and I usually use no tools to do this. (As a dog may relate the discipline with the tool instead of the human)

if you are bitten in the forearm place your other arm behind his head....rest it on his neck. Push up with the bitten arm and push down on the neck with the free arm.

Dogs that are not prone to attack will release and usually flee

Mean dogs...sad to say it but your going to have push hard and break the dogs neck.

another less effective way is to forcefully place a finger in each nostril from the same hand and rip upwards. Its will cause the dog to release but the dog could come back for another attack.

If a dog is attacking and their are no objects to place in their mouth. Place you dominate forearm in the mouth and do as I said on the first step.

Nope. Was almost attacked by a shepherd mix though. My cousin was nearly attacked by a wolf-mix. Her greyhound protected her though and ended up dying from its wounds. A briard down the block got loose and attacked an old lab dog.

I've known plenty of pit bulls. None have ever attacked anything. I've also met an ADORABLE rottweiler. He was one of the biggest and most gentle dogs I've ever encountered! ^.^ DAAAAWWW!!!

Yeah I've been bitten a lot of times playing with them. But they are a rough dog and you have to accept the fact you are going to be bitten if you play rough with them. In fact that goes for all larger breeds of dogs if you rough house with them.

No.

If someone isn't controlling their dog and it menaces me, I'll simply make sure the authorities do their jobs. Life is simple.
