Hands down, it would be Harry Callahan (sp?) aka Dirty Harry (Clint Eastwood). Why? because he was always no nonsense, cut through the bureaucratic tape imposed on society from malicious conniving lawyers and put the power of justice back into the hands of the common American and common sense.
There is just a sense of purity, honesty, and justice in the way he fought to protect society from criminals within the "justice" system and from without.
