Mr Dunkadoo.....I have 3 dependants (kids) and I am the only one working. I make $3000 a month and I cannot afford health care. I have a medical problem that needs care and I cannot get care because I cannot afford it. Plus lots of folks that do have health care cannot even get approved because the health care companies will not approve it.

We pay more for health care than any industrialized nation and get less than any industrialized nation. We can do much better and pay less by insuring everyone like other countries!

My brother does not have health care and had to go to the hospital. He was not treated and died due to him not having money or health insurance. His family sued and received over a million dollars. (Lawyer got 30%) The two doctors on duty were fired but were later hired by another hospital. Our system is not that good for the uninsured. Shame on the USA.

it's embarrassing for the usa.

people who worked their butts off in years, and
subsequently get sick from the conditions in certain
companies, have to declare bankrupt instead of the
morally corrupt pharmacy connections of the FDA
bought by monsanto. as they "optimized" the milk
until it has become almost undrinkable, the way to
milk you was even better. argh I get pimples when
I hear paulians juggle stats with short-term staying
on 'waiting lists' for surgeries in the usa. but how
much money do you need first to GET on that list ?

the regulations over redcard are a waste of time
and money as well. - one is injured, ran over by
a drunk driver - what kind of christian are you ?
submarine and undiving only on sundays hence
validating is he your neighbour yet by cash-card ?

why does the hypocrates oath not fall from the wall
much more often to slamdunk one of the neckties ?

an employer should partly pay the insurance of
his workers. that will also animate him vastly to
make work safe, and motivated personnel with less
daily fears will improve company performance, too.

I don't think anyone should cry 'socialism' then :P

Health care sucks in this country because over half of its paid for by the govt. So it's not a real free market system which if it was would increase competition and drive down cost and make better health care. BTW the rest of the world's health system sucks worst then ours because most are completely controlled by the govt that is why you always see famous people from around the world come here to get better i.e. the pope.

Like everything else in America, it's more expensive than in other countries.

The current system, though, in which insurance companies form a defacto oligopsony (a market characterized by a small number of buyers) is problematic. The de-facto monospony with the government as the sole payor for all medical services would be even worse, of course, but the insurance-based model is clearly a failure.

Its the best in the world. Compared to nationalized health, nobody here gets favortism. Where it is nationalized, rich and famous get in first, so that they can show the public how great it is. If you are a common person, you must wait sometimes months for even a doctors visit.

Here everyone gets equal care. First to the emergency room is the first treated.

A problem is lawsuits against doctors, and this costs them alot of money. Ron Paul has ideas to lower risk for doctors, in return cutting overall costs of health care per individual.

If anyone thinks healthcare costs too much, they need to get a job. I make $8.00 an hour, work part time, and I am now affording health care (my employter pays 75%).

I imagine that when you say "America" you mean the US. This widely accepted mistake notwhitstanding (America is a continent of 33 sovereign states of which the US is only one) all I have to say is that health care over there is just another way to make money and continue with a Darwinian type of selection of the species: life for the rich, death for the poor. Come to Canada just to feel the difference!

we're gettting ripped off.....of all the industrialized nations on the planet ours is the most expensive, we pay more than double what the 2nd highest paying country pays. and yet two thirds of everyone who lost their healthcare last year averaged more than $75K annual salary.

our services are spectacular,,,if you dont need them or have a truckload of money to pay for it all.

dont even ask about senior citizens driving to to canada or mexico because drugs or treatments are either unaffordable or simply denied to them.

You can find a job that offers health care benefits. They are every where.

I believe we are a capitalist country and will continue to be unless health care is turned over to the government . You think health care is bad now , just wait until the government controls it .........
