LONDON, June 17 2007: A 22-year-old amateur Scot footballer has created a world record of quickest hat-trick by scoring three goals in the first three minutes of a match.

Alex MacGregor of Bishopmill Villa club netted three times in as many minutes in a league match against Cullen.

Alex, who is a bathroom fitter by profession, ended up the match with four goals out of the 11 scored by his team, after nearly missing the match for turning up late.

"Everyone was on the pitch ready before I arrived and I only just made kick-off," The Sun quoted Alex, of Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland, as saying.

"The goals came really quickly and it didn't dawn on me until afterwards that it might be a record," he added.

Guinness World Records later confirmed that this was the first instance of a hat-trick in the first three minutes of a match.

In the 1994-95 season, Robbie took just 4 minutes and 32 seconds to rattle off three goals against Arsenal. If this isn't the overall winner then it must at least claim the title of fastest Premier League or domestic hat-trick.

It is the fastest Premiership hat-trick, but Robbie's efforts have been bettered by Nigel Clough, who scored a hat-trick in exactly four minutes during Nottingham Forest's 4-0 win against QPR in the 1987-88 season.

The world record for fastest hat-trick belongs to former Ross County player Tommy Ross, who scored three goals in 90 seconds, versus Nairn County F.C. in Victoria Park in 1964. James Hayter holds the record for the fastest English Football League hat-trick coming on as an 84th minute substitute for AFC Bournemouth against Wrexham F.C. netting 3 goals in less than 140 seconds.

"but it has way more dramatic moments then soccer by far" thats not dramatic and something that is extremely dramatic is 1999 champions league final where manchester scored 2 goals in stoppage time or 2005 final where 3-0 was turned into 3-3 by liverpool it is a pretty fat "sport" and only 3 or 4 out of 22 players run more than 200 yards the entire game
