I had my first IUI on tues. His count on this day say: count 17.8, and sperm m/tot 27%. when they did the IUI the dr said we only had 2.5mil. Isn't that too low for IUI and should I start IVF? Just so you know I was on clomid 100mg CD 3-8 and I ovulate on my own. Dr said we were just trying to make more "Targets". Does n e one know what my chances of conceving this round are?

I've been there before. My DH has low counts and our last IUI we only had 1mil post-wash. I've done several IUI's all failed. The ideal range post-wash is 10-20mil.
Most RE's agree that the count has to be at least 5mil to have any real chance at all, but most will go ahead as long as the counts is 1mil or more, just so the cycle isn't compeletely wasted.
I really don't mean to be a downer, I'm just speaking from my own experience, I would guess your chances to be pretty low--5% or so. But hey, it only takes 1, so try to stay optimistic. Good luck and baby dust!!

good success for this IUI!!! we've been ttc for 2 a million/2 years with 4 rounds of 50mg clomid and a pair of IUIs, a million around of 100mg clomid (with much less fulfillment in folicle progression than with the 50), all with hCG injections for progesterone help. No fulfillment. the 1st IUI i think of we had 10million sperm count extensive type after the wash and 19.6mil on the 2nd. I in no way had extra beneficial than 4 folicles that regarded promising. that's loopy which you fairly choose for 5+ million of sperm to do something while all it takes is ONE! LOL it may take place for you and that i'm happy you're protecting an excellent approach. fairly, there is no longer something extra efficient you're able to do. ultimate.
