Lake Tahoe is beautiful all year... Late summer, early fall is nice, especially when the Aspens are turning. Take a charter boat ride on the lake. Crowds are light, etc.

if you don't care for winter, any other time is great- from April to October is beautiful weather and usually no snow, although that can happen anytime! Be sure to take a side trip to Lake Tahoe and Virginia City!
