Is there any chance that the migraine that I've had for five days now could be from a hormone increase/decrease from giving birth 19 days ago, or from breastfeeding?

My migraine seems to get worse while nursing, so that's what made me wonder this.

It also very well could just be lack of sleep, that is a trigger for me. Just wondering. Thanks~

Postpartum migraine does occur in some women. It's a time of big hormonal flux, and hormones can play a big role in migraine. I don't think breastfeeding would make it worse.

Hopefully it will clear up for you soon. If not, talk to your doctor to see about safe options for treating them.

Good luck!

once you're breastfeeding, the main suitable soreness relievers for gentle headache, typical soreness, or era soreness are paracetamol or paracetamol/codeine mixture. If anti inflammatory brokers are mandatory for greater suitable soreness, ibuprofen, naproxen, diclofenac or analgesic lotions, gels and sprays for muscle aches and pains is additionally prescribed. For greater severe soreness which comprise migraine, products like Mersyndol and Fiorinal pills are seen risk-free while used for short sessions of time, yet you are able to see your healthcare professional if required in many cases or if soreness persists. Mefenamic acid, indomethacin and aspirin are maximum suitable prevented whilst breastfeeding, except in any different case stated by way of your healthcare professional.

I doubt that feeding is causing this. It is probably hormone related and being in a stressful situation. good luck. I have them too.
