Being a guy who likes steak, I seem to be of a similar mind to many of those who've already posted here. I'm going to suggest the following:

Fogo de Chao: Steak and all kinds of meat.
Brenner's: A Houston Institution
The Capital Grill: Yum-o!
Lynn's Steak House: Quite good

Stay away from the chains. They're a bit disappointing overall. You get a decent steak, but that's about it. Yes, Fogo is a small chain, but the variety makes it worth it. You want this to be a special night, and Outback and Saltgrass just don't cut the mustard.

Yes. La Tour De Argent.
You will both love it.
It is a French Hunting Lodge and thick with atmosphere.

I ama man and get tired of steak houses.
Go to I-10 and see Taste of Texas for a really good one if that is what you want.

For Mexican, there are a million places but Pico's in Bellaire is fun and Guadalajara off of I-10 is another good one.

You are sweet to research your husband's BD.

Ask him. Or take him to the Salt Grass Steak House or Taste of Texas. Both are unbelievably good.

Not sure where you are writing from, but Ruth's Chris Steakhouse is the best. A little expensive, but the steak is second to none!!!

i think of it could propose greater to him and to you in case you spent it on my own. He can spend the different time together with his kin. The dinner and all sound super, yet once you prefer to ask his kin, than possibly you may desire to verify into some form of carrying experience. yet my opinion is, do the dinner element, on my own!

Out for a good steak and potato. Do men like anything else better?

I went to "saltgrass steak house" on or stay in Arlington, I think you guys should have one over there... It was sooo cool, cause you don't have to dress up, it's loud, it's fun, and it's confy and best of all the food was GREAT! unless you want something more romantic.
good luck!
