What are unit rates?
Can someone give me an example?

*I need it for algebra [Explain how to write 20 miles/ 4 hours as a unit rate (imagine the / as a fraction line so 20 miles is over 4 hours as a fraction)]<---Please do not give me the answer to this question though!

Thanks!

examples of unit rates are:
miles per hour
gallons per minute
cost per pound

Notice that with each of these, it is per ONE thing. So in your problem, you need to find the miles traveled in ONE hour, as opposed to the 4 hours that are given in the problem.

I hope this helps!
