He's damaged goods now. He really wasn't that good a passer anyways. Who will want him?

If you read the court endcitment, you would know exactly what he did and how he did it. The fact that he wanted his name to be left out, and all of the events took place in private places, tells me that he knew it was wrong and continued to do it. I believe everyone deserves a second chance, however, in this case, I absolutely do NOT belive that Micheal Vick should be allowed to play professional football anymore. Even if he were allowed, the angry fans would make the jail sentence look like a joy ride. Micheal Vick should be banned from the NFL because of the actions he took and the way he represented the NFL itself. What he did was completely perverted and disgusting.

I think he did an awful deed and he should receive some sort of punishment. However, I don't think he deserves to be banned from playing professionally.

Consider this: There are many other athletes who have been arrested for domestic violence, drug possession, driving under the influence. I can't remember the athlete's name but I believe there was one who was even accused of murdering someone. Aren't those athletes still playing?

Are you trying to say that Vick or any other man/athlete should get a more severe punishment for doing harm to his dogs than he should receive for rape or for assaulting his wife or girlfriend?

I love animals as much as any other person does but it seems to me that something got lost in this equation. There is so much more anger about Vick's deeds than there has been toward those other bad behaving athletes. Are people more concerned about animals than they are about the athletes' wives and girlfriends who have been abused? Why haven't more people demanded that those athletes be similarly banned from playing?

Nope. He's got the talent and that's his job. If you went to jail they'd let you work at Burger King again when you got out.

I think he should be suspended for 2 years. He will be back in the NFL, but no one can trust him as a QB. He'll be a HB or a WR. Watch out for the HB pass.

Not a lifetime ban a two year suspension would be more realistic. Though i would like to see him serve out his sentence chained to a truck axel in the Georgia Dome parking lot.

Why? Are you saying convicts should not be allowed to work when they are released? Wouldn't that be a little dangerous to have unemployed felons roaming around?
People will still pay to see him play after he is released from jail. If a stockbroker make a firm millions of dollars do you think they wouldn't hire him b/c of a criminal record.

Absolutely. Because he's a lowlife scumbag, and not a very good QB either.
