Start within the parenthesis
3^2 = 9 (this is what a lot of people used for raise to any power)
14/7 = 2 (then do multiply or divide)
6 + 9 - 2 = 13 (add and sub)
Done every term inside the parenthesis
5 X 13 = 65

Start with 3^2 = 9

Next is 6 + 9 = 15 in the parentheses

Now you move onto the brackets, with -14/7 = -2, then 15 + -2 = 13

Now you multiply the answer inside the brackets by 5 to get 65

- is a negative sign, if you want to know

5 [(6 + 3^2) - 14 / 7]

First you do 3 * 3 because you do exponents first.

5 [(6 + 9) - 14 / 7]

Then you do 6 + 9 because parentheses are next.

5[(15) - 14 / 7]

Next you do Multiplication adn Division as you come by it. So you do 5 * 15 and 14 / 7.

75 - 2 = 73

Then you subtract 2 from 75 and you get 73.
